Adoption Success Stories

Bob/Owen!

Bob came to Ard-Vista as a kitten destined for the Humane Society, but due to a positive test for FIV he was unable to go. With Bob's fate up in the air Ard-Vista took him in and was determined to find him a home. Bob's lucky day came when some of our wonderful clients, a father and his son, decided to give him the home he deserved!

Dexter!

Dexter is deaf and had spent the majority of his life in a cage prior to his adoption

Dexter is adjusting wonderfully and he is an amazing addition to our family! Jes takes him to Ruff Housing 1 to 2 times a week to play and he has lots of playdates with other dogs around our community.  We take him to the dog park in our community & on long walks every day! He loves it.

His favorite things are the chicken jerky treats and sleeping in our bed under the blankets (in our laps on the couch is good with him too, hehe).  We recently got Dexter a jacket that he loves wearing.  His fur is so short and he has basically none on his chest & belly, so we wanted to make sure he stayed warm on our long walks. He is a fantastic dog!

Having Dexter has been such a blessing and has truly given us something beautiful. I think for as much as he appreciate us and his new home, we love and adore him that much more!

Love & Hugs,

Ashley & Jesse & Dexter too!

Pepper!

charlie_and_pepper2.jpg

My husband, Drew and I took in Pepper (she was "Wyla") about a year ago and we marvel at how well she has adapted to being an indoor animal, a greeter for our music store, and a sweetheart of a pet.  We had lost our Spitz, Maddie,  to an age related health problem a month before we adopted Pepper, and our geriatric Bassett mix Charlie, Maddie's long time companion,  took the loss the hardest of us all.  He needed a friend of his own kind.  Pepper is not matched to Charlie in size, temperment, or activity level, but they do like each other.  What a wonderful service Ard Vista offers, placing animals needing adopting with people wanting to offer a home to a "rescue".  Our thanks to all at Ard Vista.
